24 Days Best of Afrika Hub Safaris
This tour combines Kenya’s best attractions. We begin our safari from Nairobi to Samburu on to the foothills of Mt Kenya and Meru National Park where you find ice cold rivers, rain forests and an abundance of wildlife. On to Lake Nakuru, Lake Bogoria and Baringo the flamingo belted lakes and bird haven. These Lakes are important refuge for endangered species. We then head to Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most famous and finest game sanctuary. Through Naivasha another Great Rift Valley Jewel, drive south to Amboseli at the foothills of Africa’s highest peak. Amboseli is renowned for its huge Elephant herds, bird life and wildlife. We drive further to Tsavo West and East the largest National Park in Kenya famous for unique Sceneries not to mention the largest record of Herds of Huge-Tusked Elephants. We proceed on to Watamu enjoying activities at the beach and the leisurely pace of life at the Kenyan coast. We end up at Lamu Island with more activities such as Scuba diving, big game fishing, and sailing among other leisure activities.
Day 1: Arrival – Layover in Nairobi
Upon your arrival at JKIA, our representative will meet, greet, and transfer you to your layover hotel for the night. Sarova Panafric Hotel
Day 2: Nairobi – Samburu
Depart Nairobi early in the morning with take-away lunch to Samburu National Reserve arriving at the lodge late in the afternoon. The lodges are situated on the fertile banks of Uaso Nyiro River in the middle of Samburu Game Reserve in Kenya's rugged, semi arid Northern Province. The lodge echoes the robust rhythms of riverfront life where crocodiles feed in full view. After lunch, game drive until sunset in the reserve where the large stock of antelopes has attracted many lions and leopards. The Reticulated Giraffe and Grevy Zebra, rather rare in other parks are quite common as well as the long- necked Gerenuk. Dinner and overnight stay at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge
Day 3: Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, we spend a full day in search of wildlife and birds of Samburu land visiting nearby Buffalo Springs and Shaba circuits. Dinner and overnight stay at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge
Day 4: Samburu – Meru National Park
After breakfast, check-out with take-away lunch and proceed to Meru National Park which is known as the home of Joy & George Adamson. Dinner and overnight stay at Elsa Kopje Lodge
Day 5: Meru National Park
After an early breakfast, we spend a full day in the park. Activities include game drives, guided walks, bush meals, sundowners, river excursions, fishing and massage. This untamed wilderness is renowned for its Elephant herds, rare northern endemic species with fantastic flora and fauna. We will also be in search of big Cats and the elusive Rhinos in the nearby sanctuary. Dinner and overnight stay at the Elsa Kopje Lodge
Day 6: Meru National Park – Aberdare National Park
After breakfast, check-out and proceed to Aberdare National Park arriving at our tree lodge in time for lunch. We will revert back through the Aberdare National Park while staying at the famous ARK Lodge which has a basement viewing deck from where one views wildlife when they come to quench their thirst at a man-made waterhole within the lodge`s compound. Time and weather permitting during our exit the following day do a game drive in the salient part of the park and possibly visit one or two waterfalls found in this scenic park.
Day 7: Aberdare National Park - Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park via Nyahururu Falls formerly Thompson Falls and enjoy lunch at the Thompson Falls Lodge. We later proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park which is world famous for its stunning flocks of lesser flamingoes which turn its shores pink. The park is also home to Lion, Warthog, Waterbuck, Buffalo, Reedbuck, Leopard among other. White and black Rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago and you may find white rhino at the southern end. The park has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with more than 400 species of bird found here. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge
Day 8: Lake Nakuru - Lake Baringo via Bogoria
A pre-breakfast game drive in search of Leopard and Rhino returning to the lodge for breakfast. Check-out and proceed to Lake Baringo via Lake Bogoria National Reserve. This reserve hosts numerous attractions such as hot springs, geysers, natural spa and the Lake itself is known to host over a million migratory flamingoes and other bird species. After lunch, we proceed to Lake Baringo another famous bird sanctuary. Spend the afternoon at own leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Tumbili Cliff Camp
Day 9: Lake Baringo
After breakfast, we spend a full day exploring the attractions of this Bird Sanctuary. Boat & Island adventures, Cultural visits, Trekking to nearby Njemps village are some of the tourist activities that we partake. Dinner and overnight stay at Tumbili Cliff Camp
Day 10: Lake Baringo – Maasai Mara
Depart after early breakfast with take-away lunch to Maasai Mara Game Reserve arriving late in the afternoon. Later proceed for an afternoon game drive until sunset in search of the Big Five. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge
Day 11: Maasai Mara National Reserve
We spend a full day in the Mara with morning and afternoon game drives across the plains and close encounter with Elephants, Lion, Cheetah, Buffalo, Giraffe, African birds, Hippo, Crocodile, Vultures, African birds of prey, Wildebeest, Hyena among other. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Serena Lodge
Day 12: Maasai Mara - Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha a bird-watching sanctuary arriving in time for lunch. Lake Naivasha is one of the Great Rift Valley's jewels, whilst not a National park or Reserve itself, Lake Naivasha Basin holds two small National Parks both of which are well worth a visit. Excellent bird watching, a large population of Hippo, fishing and a wide range of superb hotels, camps and lodges make Lake Naivasha a favored spot for weekend breaks. Relax after lunch at the hotel and have chance to enjoy other optional activities on offer. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort
Day 13: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, check-out and drive to Amboseli National Park to arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. Late afternoon game drive will complete this full day and allow you to see and experience the wilds of Africa in their natural state. Dinner and overnight stay at Amboseli Serena Lodge
Day 14: Amboseli National Park
We spend a full day in the park with morning and late afternoon game drives. Mount Kilimanjaro will provide a beautiful backdrop. A visit to a Maasai Manyatta will enrich your cultural experience with the local people who are known to co-exist with the wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at Amboseli Serena Lodge
Day 15: Amboseli - Tsavo West
After breakfast, drive to Tsavo West National Park to arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. An afternoon game drive will follow until dusk. Attractions at the Park include: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Crocodile, Vervet monkey, Antelope, Baboon, Giraffe, Hippo among other. You'll also see large herds of Red-soiled Elephants caused by the thin red dust found in Tsavo. There are interesting geographical features in Tsavo, including the Shetani Lava, Mzima Springs where an underwater observatory allows you to view the Hippos, Crocodiles and other marine life. Mount Kilimanjaro dominates the western horizon and is a spectacular sight from across the plains. Dinner and overnight stay at Kilaguni Serena Lodge
Day 16: Tsavo West National Park
We spend a full day in the park with morning and afternoon game drives and nature trails. Tsavo West covers a wide variety of landscapes from swamps, natural springs, rocky peaks, extinct volcanic cones and rolling plains. Dinner and overnight stay at Kilaguni Serena Lodge
Day 17: Tsavo West - Tsavo East National Park
After breakfast, we exit Tsavo West National Park and drive to the nearby Tsavo East National Park to arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. Spend the day exploring the attractions of the largest Park in Kenya. Dinner and overnight stay at Ngutuni Lodge
Day 18: Tsavo East – Watamu Beach
After breakfast, we exit Tsavo East National Park heading to Mombasa to arrive in time for lunch at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Medina Palms Beach Hotel
Day 19 & 20: Watamu Beach
Spend these days enjoying activities at the finest beach of Mombasa and leisurely pace of life at the Kenyan coast. Dinner and overnight stay at Medina Palms Beach Hotel
Day 21: Mombasa - Lamu
After breakfast, fly to Manda Island & cross by boat to the UNESCO World Heritage Site - Lamu Island. Dinner and overnight stay at The Majlis Resort
Day 22 & 23: Lamu Island
Explore Lamu Stone Town with a tour of its fantastic architecture and exotic history or enjoy the beach and azure waters around you. You can never go wrong with this Archipelago. Dinner and overnight stay at The Majlis Resort
Day 24: Lamu – Nairobi
After a rewarding cocktail of wild, bush and beach experience, you will be free (depending on flight booking) to check out for your transfer to the Manda Airstrip for flight back to Nairobi for your onward destination.
